Happy Anniversary!

I designed this card a couple of months ago and we made it in our Artisan Stamp Club. I really wanted to play with the So Detailed Thinlits... and this is what I came up with. I love it - it's just elegant and pretty. And I got to give it away this weekend as a 20th anniversary card. Love it!

AND - yay! When you purchase the So In Love bundle, you can get that beautiful ribbon for FREE along with a Whisper White/Silver version!

ALSO - quick tip - I love the banner from the Cupcake Cutouts framelits. When we went to make this card in class, that's the framelit we ended up using with the Congratulations sentiment. It fit beautifully and looked even better when you popped the edges under!

Cupcakes & Carousels Are SO FUN!

So last week, I was working on designing projects for my April classes and... I kinda got carried away. You know, when you start making something that's not really practical for mass-producing but is just SO. DARN. CUTE. that you can't stop? yeah. That.

This is the kind of project you make for someone you really, REALLY like. Most of it is super easy - it's just the cutting out and stamping all the little cupcake pieces. It makes is so adorable but takes a little time. But how much do you love it?!? I sure do!!

Here's another view:

I like adding the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Paper matted with cardstock on the sides - it gives the box added stability. And I checked - this box just fits (diagonally) a gift card. So it would be a super cute way to give a gift card to someone you love :) Which is what I'll be doing with it!

Want to make one of these? Contact me to schedule a workshop. I'd love to come over and show you and your friends how to make them!

Thanks for stopping by & have a lovely day. I'm doing a couple of blog posts here and then I'm headed back to the couch to rest. This cold/sore throat/strep is kicking my butt this week and it needs to go away! Along with the snow that we're getting AGAIN here today. What a weird west coast winter we're having!!

Watercolor Pencils Class!

I had a Watercolor Pencils Technique Class on Tuesday evening - and I wanted to show you one of the cards we made that day! I wanted to show at the class how the pencils can be used with a variety of papers and coloring mediums. This one *might* be my favorite :)

It would be SO easy to make a whack of these. You could change up the colors super easily, too. To make this card, I used watercolor paper and colored 4 sections with 4 different watercolor pencils, making the sections overlap into one another (Delightful Daffodil went into Pumpkin Pie which went into Calypso Coral which overlapped into Melon Mambo). Then, I used my Clear Wink of Stella pen to blend the colors - just like you would with an Aqua Painter or Blender Pen. Now tell me that's not awesome!! No, don' tell me. Because it is. And another thing - the only color on this card comes from the watercolor pencils. So it would be soooo easy to change up this card by using a different stamp set or set of colors. It's like a blank canvas! You could do anything with it!!

I set it aside for a few minutes and then assembled it when it was dry. When I went back to make some other color combinations, I wasn't so patient and I dried them with my heat tool. That works too. I stamped the sentiment from the Big on Birthdays stamp set (p. 6 in the Occasions Catalog). Don't you just love large sentiments on a watercolored background?! I sure do! And there ya go! A super easy, super beautiful card, done!

Thanks for stopping by; happy stamping!

Product Spotlight Blog Hop Day!

Hey there!

I'm pleased to be a part of the Product Spotlight Blog Hop again this week! You may have just come from Joni's blog. Welcome here! We are featuring the Carried Away Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-bration catalog - so fun! I just love the colors and have had soooo much fun designing with both this paper and the Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away framelits that coordinate with it.

I love how coordinating stamp sets and framelits make it just so fast and easy to create a cute card! And the fact that the designer paper coordinates with both of them makes me happy. And the fact that you can get it for free when you purchase the stamp set and framelits should make YOU happy! I can ship anywhere in Canada. Order from my online store & I'll send you a special handmade card to say thank you!

It's A Happy Mail Day!!

If you follow me on Instagram (artisansanonymous) or facebook, you'll know that I got my wish and spent last week in Mexico. After the previous weeks full of snow... it was just absolutely heavenly. I could have stayed a few more days, but Eal was ready to get back to work and we were both ready to see our kids again. My daughter told my mom the night before we got back that she didn't remember what I looked like anymore. Break my heart!! The picture makes it look cooler than it actually was. The skies were clear 6/7 days, and gorgeously warm.

At one point, Earl commented on my smile and how I looked super happy. This was my reply.

I think I should have tshirts made for the next trip. What do you think?!

Well, today, my smile is Stampin' Up! - powered. I checked the mail today after being home for a week and found a free stamp set that I won in a demonstrator challenge AND my Silver Elite personalized apron from the Stampin' Up! Canada office. woohoo! It's a happy day for sure!

OK. Now I'm off to continue getting ready for my Watercolor Pencil technique class tomorrow night. There is still room for those of you last-minute schedulers! I'm also planning to put together a class-to-go that I can ship out to those of you who are out-of-town. I can ship anywhere in Canada! If either the in-person class or the class-to-go interests you, please shoot me an email at earlandjenilee@shaw.ca. I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Product Spotlight Blog Hop

Hey friends!
It's time for another Product Spotlight Blog Hop. This week, we're featuring the Balloon Adventures stamp set and Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits dies. You may be coming here from Helen's blog. Welcome!

I just love how those balloons are the perfect size to coordinate with our Balloon Bouquet Punch.
Isn't it great when lots of products coordinate together?! I combined two product suites to make this card - a stamp set and die set from the Party Animal suite with the paper and colors from the Cupcakes & Carousels suite. So fun to mix & match! See below the products I used for this card - a click on any of the images will take you to my store where you can purchase them.

Now, go check out Joni's blog! Thanks for stopping by!

Product Spotlight Blog Hop: Balloon Adventures!!

Hi friends!

This week, I'm participating in the Product Spotlight Blog Hop with a few of my friends from down South in the USA. They asked me to play and I said yes because, hello?! I love to stamp. So you may have come from my friend Helen's blog. If not, go back and check out what she made. So cute!!

So this month we're featuring the Balloon Adventures Stamp set and coordinating Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies (found on p. 5 of the Occasions mini catalog - don't have one? email me your address and I'll send you one!). I wanted to play with the Party Animal Designer Series Paper so I tossed that in the mix too. So I took a sheet of cardstock, and, rather than making the inside of the card pop out like the die's designed to do, I made it into a card front. Now, you can take some of those dies and cut out some balloon layers but I decided to go easy-peasy on this baby and stamp them instead. The stamps are photopolymer, so they're see-through and easy to place. I love our photopolymer stamps! They're not at all squooshy like acrylic ones. They're the nicest clear stamps I've ever used. And no, I'm not just saying that because I sell them. ha! Curious what I used to make this card? Check out the list below! And clicking on any of those images will take you to my store where you can buy them and have them delivered to your very own doorstep!

SO. Here's your Sale-a-Bration bundle for the day (remember - these are Canadian prices! Here it's spend $60, get a free Sale-a-bration item!):
144708    $68.25    Balloon Adventures Bundle (stamp set and framelits)
143833    FREE     Gold and White Striped Card Tin (to keep all your birthday cards organized!)

Thanks for stopping by! Now go check out Amanda's blog!

Up & Away, Valentine!

Are you getting sick of this set yet? ;)
I'm not.
I'm pretty sure that at least one of my kids will be going to school in a couple weeks with a couple dozen of these for their classmates. They're so stinkin' adorable! Or, as my Tasha used to say, "adorbable." I miss those baby words!! They're slowly disappearing and she's starting to talk like a wannabe teenager. It's going by so fast.
ANYHOO, back to the cards. I sat down on the floor by my paper racks and started to shuffle through colors. I wanted to get an ombre effect here, so I chose 5 colors that did it for me. Here, I've chosen Real Red, Watermelon Wonder, Flirty Flamingo, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White. And then I layered it with a silver balloon. Foil or Glimmer - what's your preference? I like 'em both. Shiny AND sparkly!! On the foil one I added some enamel circles and hearts, just for fun.

What are you making for valentines this year?

Happy Stamping,

Jenilee
