Here's another card we made at our demonstrator meeting last week. I love getting together with these ladies! They are so fun! I designed this one to be one of our make & takes because I wanted to showcase some of the products from the upcoming Occasions mini. This card is a super-fast one - especially with some of the new tools from the new mini!

The Hip Hip Hooray piece in Basic Black was cut using a die from the Pop-Up Party thinlits. It's super cute - but this is only one way that it can be used. Stay tuned for my next blog post that will show you another way. :) Those adorable little balloons are a punch, too - in a cute little pack of three. There's also a cupcake & candle. Perfect for those birthday cards! AND THAT TWINE! so sweet!

And my favorite part of this card has got to be the paper stack that the background paper is from. It's like 4 packs of designer paper in one. I love it! And I love that you get 4 sheets of each design. That way it is super easy to replicate your cards. I smell a stamp-a-stack!

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Does this ever happen to you? You're trying to make a card, but none of the stamps you have say what you want to say?

Me too. That's when I break out the mix & match. I decide what I want to say, and then I use parts of a few different stamps to piece it together! It kinda reminds me of clipped letters from magazines.

Can you spot the sneak peeks in this card? There are a couple!

The background is stamped using a stamp set from the Occasions mini which will go live in January. So's the birthday stamp. :)

Hope you like!

Occasions Sneaky Peek!

This time of year is always fun for me. For one thing, my stamp-a-stacks are usually all done by now, and I get a couple of weeks off, which is nice. But more importantly... because I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, it is important that I get things early so that I have a chance to play with them before I demo them to all of you!
Hence...

How many new products can you spot here? Hard to tell, because it's pretty much all new! ha! This stamp set and framelits bundle is going to be a smash hit. It is gorgeous, and there are so many ways that you can play with it!!! I really like how this one looks like stained glass. We made the above card at our demonstrator meeting last week. (yes, there are a group of us demonstrators who get together and make awesome projects every couple of months. It's super fun. You should join us!)

This was my first attempt at the card. I wanted to show the difference between the framelits and the stamp set. They're both gorgeous. And notice the shimmery paper? You probably didn't; it's hard to see in these pictures. But it's coming BACK! And I love it :) And you will too! If you want to make one of these cards, why not schedule a class with me in the new year? You can have some friends over, make a cute card, see some new product demonstrations, and get some Sale-a-Bration rewards! I'm booking now! Contact me for more info!

Make A Wish!

Christmas Paper doesn't have to mean Christmassy projects. Just sayin'.

This gate-fold card used the Season of Cheer Designer Paper, too! And the glittery ribbon from the Holiday Catalog! I took a sheet of cardstock measuring 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored it at 2 1/8" & 6 3/8" to get the gate-fold. When I tie ribbon around my cards like this, I like to attach it at the back so it doesn't fall off completely whenever you open it! My fave adhesive is Fast Fuse... if you don't love it yet, we need to talk. That stuff is seriously amazing. And cheaper by the foot than Snail! yay!

Note that many items from the Holiday Catalog are now on an as-supplies-last basis. If there's something you want, get it now before it's gone!!

Year-End Sale is ON NOW!

I don't think Stampin' Up! has ever done this before. It's like a pre-Christmas boxing day sale. Awesome!! We've known for a couple of weeks now that some items from the Holiday Catalog are on a Retiring List and therefore, on an as-supplies-last basis. Well, this week, they got discounted! Woohoo! If there are still items on your list from the Holiday Catalog (or Clearance Rack!), you want to snap them up now. Today. Because the prices are low and once they're gone, they're gone!

Check it out now! And when you place your order online, use hostess code 6CKCY72G.

Happy Shopping!!

That Penguin's Got Fuzzy Earmuffs!

I love this card too. I totally fell in love with this little penguin. And I thought I was done, and then found the Real Red PomPom Trim... and then it was true love. Are those not the best earmuffs ever?!?

We'll be making this card - along with the Peaceful Pines one I posted yesterday - at the Greendale Elementary School cardmaking night on Tuesday, Dec. 15th at 6 pm. There's still room if you want to come :)

Peaceful Pines in a Season of Cheer!

I think that this is my favorite Christmas card this year. The colors just work really nicely together, and the metallic & glittery components just set it off. It's got bling, but it's subtle bling. If that can be a thing. LOL!

Again, for the Artisan Stamp Club this month I used the Season of Cheer DSP as my inspiration. I really wanted to use the Perfect Pines/Peaceful Pines bundle, too - so that's where that lovely tree comes in. It's actually a SUPER SIMPLE card, but the Designer Paper and Glimmer Paper makes it look just gorgeous!

Hope you love it as much as I do!

Online Extravaganza!!

I remember the first time I went Black Friday shopping. I live super close to the Canada/US border, so it was pretty normal for us to pop into the US to go shopping every once in a while. I'd heard about these amazing deals, but I'd never experienced them before. I think we left at about 10 or 11 pm, so that we'd get where we wanted to go at about midnight.
It was pure craziness.
I remember walking into JC Penney to see the payment lineup go around the whole.entire.store. I think people were waiting in line for 3 hours just to pay! (those had better be some good deals). We also went to the outlets where I think there were more people shopping than I'd ever seen at one time before. It was nuts.
I loved it :)
I don't think the rest of my shopping party did though...  but I will always remember that trip because I had just found out I was pregnant with my second son, Aaron, and I wasn't quite telling anyone yet. I think the ladies I was with figured it out when I declined coffee. That was always a sure sign. If I said no to coffee, I must be pregnant!! hahaha!
Anyways, Stampin' Up! is offering up their own version of Black Friday!

You know that Black Friday sales have officially begun when Stampin' Up!'s Online Extravaganza begins. It is a weeklong event - bookended by 24-hour doorbuster specials!! You can see the whole list of sale items here. You will want to check them out ahead of time so you know what you want to order and when. I will be unavailable during this time, so you want to place your orders online using hostess code FKWN7ZPJ. Then, at the end of the week, I will do a draw for the hostess benefits and all orders that use that hostess code will be entered!

Seriously, I feel like it's party central over here this week! I have the 100k draw happening (for a $100 shopping spree!), the Online Extravaganza... and there just may be something special that happens when I hit 200 likes on my facebook page. Just sayin'.

So make your wishlists! This is also a GREAT time to pass them on to your family & friends who may be purchasing gifts for you for Christmas, or birthdays... for those of us who have our birthdays in the last week of November... ;) You'll want to have Christmas orders in by about the 15th in order to receive them in time for Christmas. I also do have gift cards and you will get a lovely gift card holder made by me when you purchase a gift card! That way, the gift card actually looks like a gift! Imagine that!

Ok. I am rambling. Signing off for today! Check the online extravaganza!

Go here to order, and when you're checking out, use hostess code FKWN7ZPJ.

See ya later!

Sleepytime Scrapbooking

This is one of the layouts I was working on at the Stamp Your Heart Out Retreat weekend. It's actually kinda funny, because I was working on it late at night on the Saturday night, and I was literally falling asleep as I was working on it... a scrapbook layout about my son who was... falling asleep.

Yup. I just got it now.

Sometimes I'm a little slow. Haha!

Anyway, I LOVE these photos, and I find that my favorite scrapbook layouts are always the ones with my favorite photos. Good photos don't require a lot of fancy scrapbooking to make them look awesome. In fact, I think the simplicity of this layout makes the photos stand out even more. He's just so darn cute. I have adorable kids. And I'm not even biased at all. (not).

I used, like I'm sure you've been noticing in my work lately, a pack of Designer Series Paper as my color inspiration. I like everything to coordinate perfectly, and that's why I love the fact that Stampin' Up! papers use Stampin' Up! clors, and everything just always looks awesome together. I've given up on perfectly matching my photos to SU colors. That's just a little too crazy. I'm not going to lie though. I do it whenever I can. (Did someone say OCD?)

I used the Sweet L'il Things designer paper with the matching washi tape, and a couple of cards from the Moments Like These Project Life accessory pack. Because I knew they'd be the right color! yay. The circles were cut with the Big Shot & Circles Collection framelits, and the punched hearts were stamped with the Epic Alphabet heart. That one's a hidden gem. LOVE that alphabet and the heart & star in it!! The Z's were cut with the Little Letters framelits. Easy Peasy!

OOH - and if you're someone who loves to use 12x12 cardstock in colors other than Whisper White and Basic Black for your scrapbooking backgrounds, a great idea is to get the In Color 12x12 packs. Because there's only 5 colors in each In Color family, you get 4 of each color instead of 2. So a little more to work with in each color. Love that!

Thanks for checking me out today! Go create something awesome!

The 100 countdown is on!

Hey everyone!

I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for more than 7 years. When I signed up as a demo, I never thought that I would do this as a business. I just signed up for the discount - who doesn't like 20% off on their crafting supplies?!  That was a no-brainer to me.
Anyhoo... 7 years later here I am, doing clubs and classes every month, and LOVING it! I have had the chance to go to conventions in lots of fun places like Nashville, San Antonio, and Orlando; and I have made some amazing friends.
And I am getting close to a big milestone that I never thought I'd hit...

woohoo! When I do hit it, I'm going to be giving away the $100 shopping spree that I had talked about back in September. If you've put an order in with me since September, you'll be entered in the draw!! So get your wish list ready - and if you haven't placed an order with me yet this fall, be sure to do so!

Stamp Your Heart Out!

I love our retreats! They are a huge highlight for me and my stamping friends. There is just something about being surrounded by friends that inspires a greater level of creativity! I love it. I love them. :) I realized this weekend that we've been doing these retreats for 5 years - twice a year. So fun, and still going strong!

Door prizes are a fun part of retreat. This retreat was especially fun because a couple of attendees decided to donate some door prizes, too! Sherry was pretty excited to win a whole pile of Blendabilities and stamps to use with them!

We're kinda packed in like sardines at times... but it's fun :) Right?

This one is tucked in a little corner in my office space. I love having her back there with me!!

I'm so glad each and every one of these women could join us for this weekend. We've already planned the next TWO retreats in 2016! Drum roll, please.... April 15-17, 2016 and Nov. 10-13, 2016! Registration for the April retreat begins today and Registration for the November retreat will begin April. 18. Just in case you think that's super early to be planning.... the April retreat is already more than half full. Seriously. I know. Contact me for more details!

Thanks for checking out our pictures, and I hope you'll join us next time!

November Club Projects - #4 of 4

Hey there! Thanks for coming by today! Today I'm sharing the last of the November club projects. I used the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper as my inspiration for this month's projects. I love the colors and designs. And the artwork is just gorgeous!!

You may or may not know about my club. I run a hostess club once a month where members get to choose whether they make three cards or one scrapbook page. This is the November scrapbook page. I was a little bit in the Christmas spirit :)

A couple of quick tips!! It is hard to see in the photo, but the "merry" is actually Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper. The "Christmas" is cut with the Little Letters framelits, and then laid out and treated with Crystal Effects to give them a glossy, plasticky kind of finish. When you do this, you want to apply a thick layer of Crystal Effects, and then let them dry overnight. If you can leave them to dry fully without touching them, you will love the effect!! I attached them with the fine-tip glue pen that's new in the Holiday Catalog (love that item!). Also - did you notice that wooden snowflake up in the left corner by the deer? That is one of my absolute top favorite items in the Holiday catalog. They are so versatile and beautiful. I just love them!!

I look back on these pictures and they seem so, so long ago! This was 7 years ago. James, my little baby boy... is definitely no longer a baby. Here he is a couple of weeks ago with my sister, hiking Mt. Cheam. A lot has changed in 7 years!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

November Club Projects, #3 of 4!

This card features yet another stamp set that I just.had.to.have! I love the dove, and I love the detailed artwork. I love everything about it! I wanted to make a super quick and simple card for club. I *try* to make a 5-minute card, a 10-minute card, and a 20-minute card for club. That's my goal anyway. I don't know if I achieve it! Making simple cards is not my strength! But I do love this one, and it is simple. The image and sentiment are all on one stamp, and it's stamped in Versamark and embossed with gold. I then sponged pool party in a small ring near the center of the card, leaving some white in the very middle. Then I sponged Pacific Point around the outer edges.
I'll tell you my trick for this card: cut your card front larger than you want the final product to be. When you sponge in a circular motion, you need to squish your sponge tightly and press in a circular motion pretty much as hard as you can. To get the soft color, you don't necessarily need a ton of color - especially when you're sponging Pacific Point. Better to do a lot of soft layering of color than have a dark blotch where there was too much ink on the sponge! After you've sponged your color on, you'll notice that you will have blue lines up and down the sides of your card. When you trim your card front, they'll disappear and you'll be left with a beautiful, circularly sponged card front. (I don't know if circularly is a word. Probably not).

Ta-da! Attach the ribbon to the card front, attach the card front to the base with some dimensionals, and you're done! This is a card you could mass-produce in a hurry. Love it!

Here are the products I used to make this card. They are available through my online store, or by contacting me & getting me to do the ordering for you!

November Club Projects #2 of 4

In my last post, I showed you two cards that I was choosing between for our November club. I usually do three projects for the cardmakers, so this is project number 2! I wanted to make a gift card holder. Gift card packaging can often be kinda boring - just a flat card. My husband feels very strongly that when he gives a gift, he wants it to be an actual, physical gift. Gift cards would be an easy out to him :) But these days, that is often what people want! I wanted to create something interesting - something that you're proud to give and something that feels like a gift in itself. So, without further ado, voila!

I used the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper as my inspiration for this months' club projects. I love the musical score background paper! And those little deer are to die for. So adorable!! I also had the chance to play around with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch (a must have!!) and the Festive Flower Builder Punch. I've gotta admit - when I first saw the Festive Flower punch, I was a little intimidated. All those little pieces!! I thought it would take so long and be quite finicky. I was wrong. Super easy, super quick. I've found that the best way to stick the flowers together is with a little green tombow glue. That way, the glue dries clear and invisible and lovely. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned to check out the other two projects from November Club! Here are the products used to make this card! You can find them here on my website or contact me to order!

November Club Projects - #1 of 4

Hey there!
So I have been SO busy getting ready for retreat that I haven't had a chance to post our November club projects! Don't you love it when you work something over and over, and then suddenly, it just clicks, and you end up with a project you absolutely LOVE?
That's what I felt like with this card. I love this stamp set - Winter Wishes - from the Holiday Catalog. In fact, it was probably my first choice in the whole stamp set.... if only it came with a set of framelits!! That would have been amazing. Fortunately, it's not too hard to cut out the adorable little images! Anyways, I knew I wanted to make something with the stamps, so I came up with one card. It was super simple. And you know me... I have trouble doing simple. I had to add something to it. By the time I came back to the card, I had decided to focus on the Home For Christmas Designer Series Paper for this months' club projects, and so I knew I would have to remake the card in the coordinating colors.

So how about I show you both cards, and you can tell me which is your favorite?

Obviously, the one on the left was my first try, and the second one incorporated the Home for Christmas DSP. Which do you like better?

If you love these cards, here's everything you need to make them!

I know what you're thinking. I haven't been posting much these last couple of weeks. I will let you in on a little personal life :) I have gone back to school this fall to finish my bachelor's degree after 11 years! It's exciting, but it is a lot of work too. I am trying to balance everything - Stampin' Up!, school, the kids' school, home... you get the idea. I have lots of things I want to post! I will try soon! In the meantime, know that you can find my regular posts on Instagram - artisansanonymous - or on Facebook - Stampin' Up! with Jenilee Pauls. I love to post in both of those places pretty regularly. Another Christmas kit bundle for you today! Aren't you just loving these?? Today's set was sent to me by my friend Joni Metras.

Such a cute stamp set! You could whip up a batch of these adorable cards in a hurry, too!

Just like the other two kits I've posted in the previous blog posts, these kits are $57.50 (including shipping and tax).  You can order these kits by contacting me at earlandjenilee@shaw.ca and specifying that you'd like either the "Very Vanilla Among the Branches" or the "Cherry Cobbler Among the Branches" kits. Both are the same price and include the Among The Branches photopolymer stamp set, the Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow ink pads and all pre-cut paper and ribbon to make 10 cards. You can order multiples of each kit - they come in multiples of 10 - and even some of both! Refill kits are $10 for the Very Vanilla kit and $12.50 for the Cherry Cobbler kit (respectively, left and right above).

Oh, wait. Some of you noticed that the Among the Branches stamp set has a bundle option which includes an adorable embossing folder. Ok fine. There's an option for you too :) If you'd like to order the embossing folder too, the kit will be $65. Make sure you specify if you'd like the embossing folder bundle!

Hope you like them! Stay tuned - more kits to come!!

Jenilee

PS - want to know what supplies were used to make these cards so you can make more? Here ya go! You can order them at my online store here - use hostess code FTSFXZ9X during the month of September 2015 to qualify for an entry into my $100 shopping spree draw if I make my milestone this month!

I posted Diane's Christmas Kit cards yesterday - today you get to see mine!

On these cards, I used the Flurry of Wishes stamp set - this is one of my personal favorites from the Holiday Catalog. I just love snowflakes. Maybe it's because we don't get to see them too often out here in BC!! haha.

These are kits just like I talked about yesterday. You contact me to order the kit based on the card that you'd like to make. For instance, if you like the one on the left, you'd order the "Smoky Slate Flurry of Wishes" kit and if you like the one on the right, you'd order the "Whisper White Flurry of Wishes" kit. They're both $57.50 and include shipping & tax as well as nonconsumable items like the Flurry of Wishes photopolymer stamp set and Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad. Then you also get all the supplies you need to make 10 of your chosen card, including Whisper White envelopes. If you would like refills of your card kit to make even more; or you'd like to make both cards - the kit refills are $12.50 for 10 cards. Kit refills do not include the stamp set or ink pads but do include all paper pre-cut to the required sizes. AND INSTRUCTIONS! How could I forget that? You get instructions too; I guess those are important! :)

Some of you may notice that there is a coordinating punch for this stamp set. Oh yeah there is. It is stinkin' cute. And I will tell you a tip for using this - the two smaller snowflakes in this set are on a single stamp. And when you stamp them on paper & then go to punch them out, you will be oh-so-delighted... the stamps are perfectly placed so that you stamp them together, and then punch them together. Seriously. Someone is thinkin' over there at Stampin' Up!! For those of you interested in getting the punch with this kit (even though I didn't use it on my cards)... the price for the kit WITH the punch is $75. :) I thought that might make some of you happy!

Note that these kits do not include clear blocks for stamping or adhesive - I guess I'm assuming you have those already. If you don't, talk to me. I know a guy. Or a girl ;)

I hope you like my cards! Let me know what you think in the comments. I love hearing from you!

Don't you just love these!! So cute and simple and oh-so-easy to reproduce. Actually, that's kinda the point. I got together with a few of my friends from The Paper Plunge and we decided to do a little swap - and I think you're going to like this one! The point of this swap was to design cards that would be easily reproducible for you and make kits. That way, you can purchase a kit consisting of a stamp set, an ink pad or two, and all the paper/ribbon you need to make 10 cards. woohoo! So this kit was designed by my lovely friend Diane Ison. As you can see, she makes gorgeous cards. This one uses the White Christmas stamp set, which is super adorable. And it is cute both minimalistic, as Diane's cards show, or colored in (for those of you who love your markers!).

SO.... here's how this works. If you like one of these designs, you can contact me to order the kit for $57.50 (that price already includes shipping & taxes). It comes with all the pre-cut paper to make 10 cards as well as a few non-consumable supplies - the White Christmas photopolymer stamp set, the Soft Sky Classic Stampin' pad, and the Basic Black archival ink pad. Then you get to decide which card kit you'd like. Super easy! If you've purchased a kit, you can purchase kit refills for $7.50 each (which includes the consumable supplies to make 10 cards). So you can make as many as you want, and I will do the cutting for you. Sweet deal! For these cards, you can specify either the "White Christmas Soft Sky" kit (the card on the left) or the "White Christmas Whisper White Kit" for the card on the right! :)

And remember, all orders that are put in during the month of September are eligible for my $100 shopping spree draw if I meet my goal! You can even shop online & use the hostess code FTSFXZ9X. Thank you for your support!!

Enjoy this beautiful weather while it lasts. The rain is coming. Make sure your Christmas card supplies are stocked for when the rains get here!

Happy stamping,

Jenilee

PS - these are the supplies used on Diane's awesome cards :)

You know when you're getting ready for the next day, just before you go to bed? That's what my mom was doing last night when she realized that she needed a wedding card for today. So she did what she usually does when she needs a card. She called me!

And so that is how, at 9:30 pm last night, I found myself whipping up this little cutie. I hope you like it - and I hope the beautiful bride who will be receiving it soon likes it too :)

Sweet & Simple.

Have a great day!

Here's the supplies I used! You can contact me or visit my store to buy them! (And remember that if I meet my sales goal this month, ALL orders will be going into a draw for a $100 shopping spree!!)

Tuesday is Weekly Deals Day!

Tuesdays are fun in the Stampin' Up! world. It's the day when they make new announcements to their demonstrators (that's me!), and the day when they change their weekly deals. Soooo, there's a couple of things I can pass along to you!

You may or may not know about Stampin' Up!'s Paper Pumpkin program. It's super cute. It's a monthly subscription that gets delivered right to your door! And inside the box is everything you need to complete a super cute little project. Well, sometimes the projects aren't so tiny.

That was last month's Paper Pumpkin. Oh yeah - you also get a cute little stamp set each and every month. And at least one of those adorable little Stampin' Spots. This August Paper Pumpkin kit made 3 boxes and 6 cards in 2 different designs. In about a half hour. I've already seen the September one and it is SO ADORABLE too! Love it.

Anyways, Stampin' Up! has a promo going on for the October Paper Pumpkin. For every kit that is purchased, they will donate $1 US to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. If the subscription is from a brand-new subscriber, they'll donate $2 instead. :) Yay! In addition, they are sending out these limited-edition boxes to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month! You can follow Paper Pumpkin on Instagram to get a sneak peek :)

Remember to enter me as your demonstrator when you sign up for your kits :) As a subscriber, you're also invited to purchase past kits and refills. woohoo! That means that even if you didn't receive the adorable one above in the mail, you can go on the Paper Pumpkin website and buy it there :) Win win!

hint.... Paper Pumpkin purchases THIS month also qualify for my September draw (the one where if I make my goal by the end of the month, I'm giving away a $100 shopping spree?). You can buy prepaid Paper Pumpkin subscriptions - perfect for gifts!!

Have a great Tuesday. I'm off to play with my little girl. :)

Upcoming Christmas Stamp-a-Stack - just a couple more days to register! And a BIG announcement.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my blog! I'm going to try to be posting on here regularly (2-3 times a week) - so here's a photo of the class we'll be doing this Sept. 30:

This is the To You & Yours Shaker Card kit from the Holiday Catalog, p. 4. When you come for the class, I will provide everything you need - you only need your adhesive (and if you forget that or don't have any, I have some for sale in my studio!). The cost is $40 for this class - that includes the kit, and use of all stamp sets and ink pads needed to complete the project. RSVP to me at 604-997-5501 or earlandjenilee@shaw.ca by Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015. (I extended the registration date a bit because I love you guys) :)

I also have only TWO spots left for my Stamp Your Heart Out Retreat coming up November 13-15. If you haven't secured your registration with your payment yet, do so now! Space is limited and we are almost full! And you don't want to miss out. Retreat is awesome!

ALSO... I have a big goal this month. And I only have two weeks to complete it, so I need your help! I have a milestone I'm trying to reach by the end of the month and if I reach it, I am doing a draw for a $100 Stampin' Up! shopping spree! You can earn an entry by putting an order in with me this month. You can earn 5 extra entries by referring a friend to me this month when they place an order with me. You can also earn 5 entries if you sign up as a demonstrator with me this month. TWO weeks people! I have a goal and we are going to celebrate if I reach it!

You guys are the best. Thanks for being there for me, and for always being so encouraging! I love my stampin' friends!!
